This workshop will deal with the stress and burnout among juvenile justice professionals and self-care strategies for professionals in this challenging field. This training is recommended for administrators, supervisors, social services and education staff and juvenile officers. |

Amy Jacob is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker on staff with the Violence Institute of New Jersey, UBHC-UMDNJ. Amy coordinates the Juvenile Justice Commission's "Creating Safe and Respectful Environments" initiative, which provides training to juvenile detention and secure care facilities throughout New Jersey. Amy has special expertise in the areas of juvenile justice, trauma, traumatic grief, adolescent mental health and suicide prevention. A former crisis clinician, She has extensive experience in providing clinical services to adolescents in juvenile justice settings and in the community. Amy currently maintains a private practice for teenagers based out of Highland Park, NJ. |
