There are many components to good team chemistry. Productive teams can be created, and/or improved. Conversely, poor leadership, weak participation, and a lack of a common goal can create an explosive, non-productive group. This chemistry is not a minor issue.
In this class participants will be immersed in an intense murder mystery. Small groups, using a packet of data, will be given the assignment of finding the one murderer from the presented criminal gang data. A few observers may be picked to share observations of positive group interactions.
Afterward, all groups share their suspected murderer, and how they arrived on their consensus. The actual murderer is then revealed, with facts reviewed that eliminate other suspects.
Handouts will then highlight how their group quickly formed- insights into how all groups set roles, develop communication rules and create a society structure will be explored. |
